Supersonic passenger aircraft A2

Supersonic passenger aircraft A2The team of British engineers in the project LAPCAT supported by the European Space Agency, took on the development of cleaner and supersonic passenger aircraft, code-named A2, which can speed 5 times faster than the speed of sound.
The aircraft will perform flights between Europe and Australia in less than five hours.
Length A2 aircraft will be 143 meters and the capacity - up to 300 passengers. Maximum speed of A2 aircraft 6400 kilometers per hour, which is five times faster than the speed of sound.
For comparison, the length of the popular passenger aircraft Boeing-737 total 36.5 meters and the length of the largest A380 aircraft.
The supersonic airliner A2 will fly on liquid hydrogen, which is more environmentally safe. Without refueling supersonic airliner will be able to fly up to 20 thousand kilometers.
The cost of a ticket 3500 pounds (or almost 7 thousand dollars).
